Friendship Park

With the weather making it feel like summer, we definitely took advantage of it and hit up the parks in PA. Friendship park has sand (forgot about this) but I thought it would be fun. Let the kids take off their shoes and put their feet in the sand while they played. Brooke loved swinging and playing with everything.

Brandon loved this swings as well, but not as much as he liked the sand. Not playing in the sand.....eating it. I mean I figured he would try it, but much like with lemons, he kept going back for more...I am talking about handfuls of sand....and was grinding it in his mouth! Ugg! But I let him do it long enough to get some good pics before I rescued him from himself :)

YMCA

Doc was nice enough to volunteer to take Brooke swimming while we were visiting. It was her first time going to the "big pool inside". She was so excited she could barely stop wiggling enough to get her clothes off so she could go in. She LOVED it. Doc and her spent a good 45 minutes in the water.

I didn't think Brandon would really have in interest. I thought I would just sit on the side with him, take a few pictures, and feed him some snacks. I WAS WRONG. As soon as he saw Doc in the water he reached out to him, both arms, little hands opening and closing, like he was trying to say please will you take me in?? I felt sooo bad! I had no bathing suit for him, not to mention no swim diaper. So I stripped him down to his onesie and let him splash on the side for a little while. That was enough to satisfy him, but now we know for next time!

Brooke had such a good time that when I gave her the choice of leaving or playing for a few more minutes, she looked at me and said, "Mom, I want to stay forever!" It was too cute! I am sure we will be headed back there next time we are in PA!

Headfirst

Headfirst is Brandon's preferred way of going down the stairs...FUN! Don't worry we are working on feet first...

Tracy's 30th

Tracy's 30th party was a lot of fun...it wasn't really a kid party, but since we were staying at Aunt Tracy's house....it was a kid party until 7:30. With that said, I only have really one pic of the kids from the party and one honorary pic.......(I should have some more from other cameras soon)

Easter Bunny

We never made it to see the mall Easter bunny this year, but we were lucky enough to be in PA for the Easter egg hunt at my mom's work where the bunny made an appearance.

The egg hunt was a lot of fun for Brooke. Mimi took her around and made sure she had a full basket. She was having so much fun she almost wandered into the section that was for the older kids! Brandon could have cared less....he was most bothered that I put him in the grass. How dare I!

After the hunt went inside to a table full of Easter treats! On of the best parts were all the yummy purple things to eat.

The bunny came in and much to my surprise it didn't scare either kid. It seriously looked like it belonged in a horror movie to me, but it was acceptabe to Brooke and Brandon. They got their pictures taken and had a lot of fun spending the afternoon with Mimi.

Babyproof This?!

Ideas?

Extended Stay in PA

You may be wondering where I have been, well it is no where all that exciting, but it has been fun....PA. I was only supposed to be down here for the weekend to celebrate my sisters 30th birthday, but on the night of her party, WVU basketball won....and they are headed to Indy...with my husband following close behind. I decided that instead of returning to NJ to an empty house for Easter to extend my stay here at Sunset Drive until the 5th. With that said, I don't have all of my cords to download my pictures so I haven't been blogging.

Don't worry, I have a lot to catch up on so check back next week.

So far we have taken our first trip to the YMCA, saw the Easter Bunny at my mom's work, had a luau party for Aunt Tracy's 30th and went to the Philadelphia Zoo with Great Granny. So check back for the stories and the pics soon!
