Trick-or-treat

We got TONS of candy, way more than we needed.  It was a little cold out so we only tasted about an hour and a half.  Even though it was cold, it was really fun to see both kids so excited.

Pumpkin Carving 2010

Brandon wasn't as adventurous as last year, and wasn't a fan of the pumpkin guts, but Brooke had a blast!

School Halloween Parade

Lets just say, it was raining, they moved the parade inside and it was absolute chaos!

Grandparen'ts Day

October 27th was grandparents day at Brooke's school.  My mom made the 2.5hr drive up Tuesday after work just so she could be there for Brooke.  We spent the morning with Brandon, looking at trucks before I dropped my mom off.  It was really very nice having a buddy in the morning with me because most days it is just Brandon and I, which I love, but it's to be with other adults too.

The visit was too short, but Brooke loved that Mimi came and even got to have a sleep over.

I dropped my mom off for a while in the morning on Wednesday and here are the pictures that we got!

Halloween Story Hour

I did remember Brandons costume for story hour this time!  This is more a social outing for me because he really doesn't have the attention span for this!

Bounceorama

Brandon is signed up for gym class, and as most moms know, the week before Halloween is filled with wearing your costumes to class. Well, I forgot, bad mom, but Aunt Kris to the rescue, who brought the cutest back up lion costume EVER.

#1 Brandon scaring the little old lady Sierra and #2 an attempt to get 10-15 kids under 2 in a picture...comical.

2010 Pumpkin Picking

I was a little ambitious and went pumpkin picking very early on this year, which ended up in feeding the squirrel population in the neighborhood.  So we went for a second time so that we can have a pumpkin to carve for Halloween.

The biggest hit with Brandon.....big surprise......the tractor.  Everything is a phone these days, even a rock.  And Brooke's scary face is the face she made when I asked her what we should carve into the pumpkin.  One of the really cute things was when they were looking at the goats, Brooke kept calling them "ghosts".  All is well on the home front these days.

I Knew I Loved This Boy

He has the same passion for fried onions as I do!

Twins?

Well..maybe for a day :)

School

This past Saturday it was take your parents to school day.  It was about 40 minutes and gave us the opportunity to see a little glimpse into what she does everyday.  We got to sit down with her teachers, go through some of the letters and their phonics system that the school uses, sing the pledge of allegiance, and much more.  Most of this I had already seen through my research when i was trying to choose a school, but it was nice to share it with Eric and Brooke.  We left Brandon with the grandparents so it was even more special to be there with just Brooke.  She also got to show us some of the learning activities that she does when she is there.  Some of her favorites are teaching tools that deal with sensory and fine motor skills.  She was a little shy at first but it was really neat to see her excited to be at school for once!  She still tells me every day that she doesn't want to go!  Its not the best picture, from my cell phone, but it's all I took.
