This year we finally made the trip to spend the weekend on my dad's boat. The kids were the perfect age, combined with perfect weather, made for an awesome time. We spent the whole day in the water and the went to bed on the boat great. I didn't take nearly enough pictures because we were in the water so much. The following day we went to the pool where Brooke was brave enough to jump into the pool on her own for the first time. Fast forward one week later to OBX, and she was swimming on her own!
Brooke's favorite part was sleeping in the "cave" and Brandon's was driving the boat. Besides the kids having a blast, it was great to get to spend some good time with my Dad and Step-mom. It hard to believe but the boat is more "kid" friendly thank their house! The weekend also took me back quite a few years to when I spent countless weekends and vacations on the very same boat. Lots of great memories.
